How disappointing... Sneaking from behind like a coward... I thought all creatures would prefer to fight face to face.

—Makhan

Makhan (Korean: 마칸 [rom. Makan]) is a legendary warrior from the Bars Tribe and was known for being the strongest of his race before being exiled for challenging the elders. He was later ambushed by Charming Gold due to his strength and became part of the DV7, given the codename 'DV2'.

Physical Description[]

Makhan Season 1 Headshot

Makhan Headshot

Makhan is a shirtless tiger, with a grey muscular body and a lighter underbelly. He has gold eyes and black hair that is pulled back into a ponytail. His eyes are shown to be a bright red when he was a DV7.

His outfit consists of frayed black pants with broken hinges in each foot, a brown belly band tied up in chains, and bandages wrapped around his arms. He has light pink paw pads under his bandages containing his power and also has pink paw pads under his feet. As a DV7, He wears a black hoodie and a red mask.

Background[]

Master Makhan used to be the greatest warrior of the Bars Tribe until he was exiled because of his lethal weapon, the 'Super Paw,' a rare power from the Bars Tribe that only he mastered. After being exiled for clashing with the elders, he began training in the woods, hoping to one day find someone with the same power as him[1].

While he was in the forest he was ambushed by Ballbots and was promptly taken by Charming Gold, who brainwashed him into becoming a DV7. As part of the DV7, he was known to the Running Men as the 'Kupha Man' due to the breathing sounds he produces while wearing his mask[2].

Personality[]

As part of the DV7, Makhan is callous, brutal, and quiet. Due to his antisocial nature, he is not shown to be chatty and is frequently seen fighting alone. Like Kuga, he is also shown to be quick to anger and can lose control over his emotions as shown when he was visibly frustrated with Pala, due to the Impa being able to dodge his attacks really quickly as he had spotted Materio Vitacus.

Outside of his brainwashing however, he is shown to be humble, serious, and caring. When Kuga defeated him and gained his respect, he gave the young tiger insight about his special abilities, comforting Kuga that his power isn't a curse, but something to be embraced and though only briefly seen, he is seen fighting on behalf of the Running Men and carrying an unconscious Kuku to safety. In addition, he is shown evacuating the remaining audience from the arena and using his power to protect the Running Men from Manus' attack.[3]

Abilities[]

  • Enhanced Strength - Like the Bars Tribe, he is shown to possess a great amount of strength, being able to immobilize Charming Gold's bot.
  • Martial Arts Mastery - Knows as the 'greatest warrior' of his tribe, he shows it greatly through his battles with the Running Men.
  • Superpaw/Pink - Makhan possesses a special power in his paws called the 'Superpaw'. This power has the ability to produce a shockwave powerful enough to create a paw-looking crater when it hits a surface.

Relationships[]

Kuga[]

Although starting out on the wrong foot, Kuga and Makhan share a mentor-student type of relationship, with the latter informing him about the history of his pink paws and the reason for his superpowers[4] and caring for him when he was injured.

Shan[]

Due to their similar circumstances, Shan and Makhan share a mutual respect for each-other and are often seen working together.
