This is the first season of the Korean animated series, Running Man. The show was animated by SIDUS Animation Studios under Locus Cooperation.

But for its ultimate power and by those whose minds were blinded by it,
it also became the catastrophic cause that had brought never-ending wars between the tribes.
Tortured by the agonies of the wars,
the leaders of the tribes finally came to a peace agreement that they would instead open a competition.
Players, equipped with special watches and shields,
compete against each other as winner’s tribe would be awarded with Materion,
the sacred fruit of the Soul Tree.
These brave players, who throw themselves in this fierce fight,

Seven animals from each tribe represent their tribe as they tackle a series of obstacles in the Running Man Championship. The seven members explore friendship and strength as they work to defeat the challenges.
Cast[]
The cast of Running Man Animation is based on and inspired from their real-life counterparts in the variety game show Running Man.
LIU the Grasshopper - from the Bug Tribe. An inventor, strategist and a natural leader who uses different gadgets to help him in the competition. His real-life counterpart is Yoo Jae-Seok.
KUGA the Tiger - from the Bars Tribe. He is a capable warrior with sharp instincts. His real-life counterpart is Kim Jong-Kook.
LONKY the Giraffe Prince - from the Giraf Tribe. He is the 49th Prince from his tribe who has a tendency to scheme and betray in games. He has flexible joints; he can stretch his neck, arms and legs really far. His real-life counter part is Lee Kwang-Soo.
MIYO the Cat - from the Nyanya Tribe. She is a secret agent with a mysterious goal. When the other characters annoys her, most times she scratches them (except Kuga), leaving claw marks across their faces. Her real-life counterpart is Song Ji-Hyo.
GAI the Ninja Monkey - from the Mong Tribe. He is fast and sometimes awkward. He plays an important role as a master player with excellent agility. His real-life counterpart is Gary (Kang Hee-Gun).
POPO the Penguin - from the Peng Tribe. The little man, the man who dominates time! Popo is a wizard who uses cards as his special weapon. His real-life counterpart is Haha (Ha Dong-Hoon) who is often compared to another animated character Pororo.
PALA the Impala - from the Impa Tribe. Unlike the other competitors, Pala is not as fit but he is a great alchemist and a healing master. His real-life counterpart is Ji Seok-Jin.

The opening ceremony for 100th Running Man Championship started. Charming Gold, the host of the game, appears to announce the grand opening. After introducing each player, the ranking of the previous game appeared on display. Players quarrel over the ranking, making a huge fuss about it. | ||

|
|
The 1st mini game is called "Monster's Mealtime" Everyone becomes a monster in his/her turn, catching all other players. The winner after the intense battle becomes the bell hunter for the next main game. | ||

|
The first individual match of the championship begins, and everyone becomes an enemy. The contestants decide to cooperate, but not everyone can be trusted. | ||

Six players search for the bells, utilizing special items. They attempt to run from Kuga, but as players are picked off one by one, concerns for a traitor on the inside arise. | ||

Lonky gets rid of Kuga by way of his superpower; Popo, who joined forces with Lonky, gains confidence and takes on Liu and Miyo. | ||

The players are all imprisoned for contempt of the ultimate ttakji. They must solve a riddle and win to escape. | ||

The players get involved with some mysterious passengers on board the express train at Tree City. Pala discovers a murder scene. | ||

The players are accused of being key suspects in the murder case. Liu finds an important clue leading to the real criminal. | ||

The whole train turns into a zombie world when the victim comes back from the dead. The players race to the front carriage for safety. | ||

Pala tells the rest of the players an old urban legend about a serial abductor. Late at night, a suspicious shadow hovers around the members. | ||

The members are disappearing one by one, so the remaining ones go in search of them. An abductor is hiding somewhere. | ||
